Pull the tables out of a PDF into an Excel workbook with real cells you can sort, filter and calculate with.
This conversion runs on a secure server, not in your browser.
These formats need conversion engines that can't run in a browser, so your file is sent over an encrypted connection to our conversion partner CloudConvert (ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, servers in Germany, EU). It is converted, then deleted right after your download, and automatically within 24 hours at the latest. PDFDoco itself never stores your file. How we handle files

Bank statements, invoices, price lists, sales reports and research data often arrive as PDFs. The numbers are there, but you can't sort, filter or add them up, and copying a table out of a PDF usually pastes everything into one column. Converting the PDF to Excel puts each value in its own cell, ready to work with.
PDFDoco uses a professional table-detection engine (Apryse) that finds the tables on each page and rebuilds them as real Excel tables, keeping rows, columns and merged headers. By default each table gets its own worksheet. You can also put all tables on one sheet, keep the text around the tables, and convert only the pages you need.
Drop one or more PDFs with tables, up to 50 MB each.
One worksheet per table, or every table stacked on a single sheet.
Limit the conversion to the pages that hold your tables, e.g. 3-8.
Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or LibreOffice Calc.
Each value lands in its own cell, with the table's rows and columns intact.
Sort, filter, chart and total your data as soon as the file opens.
Convert a month of statements or invoices at once, up to 10 PDFs.
By default every table becomes its own worksheet, which keeps unrelated tables apart (for example a summary table and a transaction list). If your PDF is one long table split across pages, such as a multi-page bank statement, turn on All tables on one sheet to get all the rows in one place, ready to sort and total.
Normally only the tables are converted, which gives the cleanest spreadsheet. Turn on Keep text outside tables to also bring over the headings, account details, dates and footnotes around them. This is useful when the context matters, as on an invoice.
Text-based PDFs (created by software) convert most accurately. Tables in scanned PDFs are harder to detect: use a sharp, straight scan, and straighten tilted pages first with Deskew PDF. If you only need plain comma-separated data, PDF to CSV runs entirely in your browser.
Table detection needs a professional conversion engine that can't run in a browser, so unlike most PDFDoco tools your file is sent over an encrypted connection to our conversion partner CloudConvert (ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, servers in Germany). It is deleted right after your download, and within 24 hours at the latest. PDFDoco never stores your files. See our Security page.
Pro tip: before relying on the numbers, check a few totals against the PDF. Table detection is very accurate on clean PDFs, but unusual layouts are worth a quick check.
