Convert XLSX, XLS, ODS and CSV spreadsheets to PDF, with every sheet fitted to the page width so no columns get cut off.
This conversion runs on a secure server, not in your browser.
These formats need conversion engines that can't run in a browser, so your file is sent over an encrypted connection to our conversion partner CloudConvert (ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, servers in Germany, EU). It is converted, then deleted right after your download, and automatically within 24 hours at the latest. PDFDoco itself never stores your file. How we handle files
XLSX, XLS, ODS or CSV · up to 50 MB each, 10 files at a time.
This tool sends your file to CloudConvert over an encrypted connection for conversion; it is deleted from their servers as soon as your download finishes, and automatically within 24 hours at the latest. Every PDFDoco tool except the Office, ebook and CAD converters runs in your browser. How it works

Spreadsheets are hard to share as they are. Formulas can be changed by accident, the recipient may not have Excel, and printing a wide sheet usually leaves the last columns on a page of their own. A PDF of your workbook is a fixed, read-only copy that anyone can open, which is why invoices, price lists, timesheets, budgets and financial reports are sent that way.
The common problem with Excel to PDF is columns cut off at the page edge. PDFDoco fits each sheet to the page width by default, so every column stays on the page and long sheets continue on the next pages. You can also shrink each sheet onto a single page, keep the workbook's own page setup, or convert only the print areas. Every sheet in the workbook is converted.
Drop one or more XLSX, XLS, ODS or CSV files, up to 50 MB each.
Fit to page width (recommended), each sheet on one page, or actual size.
Every worksheet is converted, in order, into one PDF per workbook.
The PDF keeps your file's name; several workbooks are bundled into a ZIP.
Fit to page width keeps all columns of each sheet on the page.
Every worksheet becomes part of the PDF, with its formatting, borders, charts and number formats.
Convert up to 10 workbooks at once and download them as one ZIP.
Fit to page width scales each sheet so all its columns fit across the page, while rows continue onto as many pages as needed. This suits most tables, lists and reports.
Each sheet on one page shrinks a whole sheet onto a single page. It works well for dashboards, small tables and one-page forms. On very large sheets the text becomes tiny, so use Fit to page width for those.
Actual size uses the page setup saved in the workbook (orientation, margins, scaling, page breaks). Choose it if you already set up printing in Excel.
If you've set a print area in Excel (Page Layout > Print Area), turn on Only print areas to convert just those ranges instead of everything on each sheet. Hidden rows and columns stay hidden in the PDF. Gridlines appear only if they are set to print in the workbook. Add borders to cells if you want visible lines.
CSV files become a simple table, and ODS files from LibreOffice Calc are converted with their own page setup. The scaling options apply to XLSX and XLS files. To go the other way and turn a PDF table back into a spreadsheet, use PDF to Excel or PDF to CSV.
Unlike most PDFDoco tools, Excel conversion runs on a server: your file is sent over an encrypted connection to our conversion partner CloudConvert (ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, servers in Germany), converted, and deleted as soon as your download finishes, and within 24 hours at the latest. PDFDoco never stores your spreadsheets. See our Security page.
Pro tip: to share only one sheet, convert the workbook, then keep the pages you need with Extract PDF pages.
Keep the default Fit to page width option. Each sheet is scaled so all its columns fit across the page, and long sheets continue onto the following pages.
Yes. Every sheet in the workbook is converted in order into a single PDF, including charts, cell formatting, borders and number formats.
Yes. Choose Each sheet on one page. Very large sheets become hard to read at that size, so use Fit to page width for long tables.
XLSX and XLS from Microsoft Excel, ODS from LibreOffice Calc, and CSV. For Google Sheets, download the file as .xlsx first (File > Download > Microsoft Excel).
No. A PDF shows the calculated values as they appear in Excel, which is useful when you want to share results without exposing or risking your formulas.
It's converted by our partner CloudConvert (ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, servers in Germany) and deleted right after your download, and within 24 hours at the latest. PDFDoco never stores your files.
